How We Met
Our story began a long time ago, in a galaxy far away. (Yes we're dorks, but awesome dorks at that!)
We began dating in May of 2003 when I was a junior and he was a senior in high school. Most people told us that high school sweethearts don't happen anymore.
We were able to survive 5 years of college apart from each other. He was in upstate NY (by Canada) and I was in Albany. We made sure to visit each other as often as possible, but months went by sometimes before we could see each other. We've known how special our relationship was, right from day one. I knew it was meant to be one of the last nights he was home before he left for his freshman year of school. We were hanging out after the drive-ins and talking about what would happen to us when he left. He looked at me and said, "My parents have friends who met in high school and they're still together now. We'll be alright."
6 years later he asked me to be his wife! :-)
